Simple Lesson Ideas:

Make a book. Kids love to make books, especially of themselves. This can be done over several days as they learn more and more about maps and where they are on the map and in the world. As you do each page review the prior pages for reinforcement.

1 - Draw picture of self

2 - Draw picture of self in room

3 - Draw house on street

4 - Draw town

5 - Draw state

6 - Draw United States (simple details)

7 - Draw the world
