ACTIVITIES TO TRY:
* Which words can you use to describe each of the main character? How do you know that about them? write them down. You could use a thesaurus to help.
*Write a 5th voice from the perspective of one of the dogs. How do they view their trip to the park?
*Make a map of the map and label the different areas: for eg. woods, play ground, rose garden, benches..... you can invent areas to be included too!
*Imagine you are Charlies Mum, write a timetable for him so he knows how to spend his day. Dont forget to include chores, homework, what he needs to eat.
*Imagine you are Smudge. Write a letter to Santa with the things you most wish for for Christmas.
* Urban parks were invented in by the Victorians for promenades. What else can you find out about Victorian Urban parks?
