Hello Awesome Readers! Todays book is "Winter Is Here" written by Kevin Henkes and illustrated by Laura Dronzek.
This is the perfect story to snuggle up and welcome the first day of Winter. December 21st has been declared as the first official day of Winter in the USA. We enjoy all of the changes that Winter brings from beautiful snowfalls, cooler temps, icy covered grass, and preparation for a new beginning in Spring.
This book is developmentally appropriate for children ages 3-8.
Read aloud stories are not only fun and entertaining for children, but they also help with language development. Verbalizing storybooks aloud also helps with vocabulary development and comprehension skills. A childs brain grows faster from birth to age 5 than at any other age in their lives.
