Hello Awesome Readers! Todays Book is "Luke Goes to Bat" written by Rachel Isadora.

Today we are reading "Luke Goes to Bat" in honor of Black History Month and Jackie Robinsons Birthday. This story is about a little boy named Luke. Luke loves to play baseball, but he isnt always picked first to play. He learns a valuable lesson about striving to reach your goals and never giving up.

Remember that no matter how hard the task is before you, you can always succeed and excel. Never Give Up!

This book is developmentally appropriate for children ages 5-13 and Grades Kindergarten-8th.

Read aloud stories are not only fun and entertaining for children, but they also help with language development. Verbalizing storybooks aloud also help with vocabulary development and comprehension skills. A childs brain grows faster from birth to age 5 than at any other age in their lives.
