Its based on the happy life of a kid which alters instantly with the sudden war and pushes him in a state of struggle. The war changes not only lives, but also the role of his box; first as a carefully built toy house, then as a place to take shelter in a refugee camp with full of dangers and finally as a boat that sails for a journey towards hope.

Karton Kutu (The Box), savaşlardan etkilenen milyonlarca çocuktan birinin hikayesini konu alan animasyon, 52 ülkede 240 uluslararası film festivalinin özel seçkisinde yer aldı ve En İyi Animasyon gibi 44 ödülün sahibi oldu.

Film, savaş yüzünden mutlu hayatı birdenbire değişen ve bir dizi sıkıntının içine düşen bir çocuğu anlatıyor. Savaş, sadece hayatları değiştirmiyor, aynı zamanda karton kutunun fonksiyonunu da değiştiriyor. Önce özenle hazırlanmış bir oyuncak evken, sonra tehlikelerle dolu mülteci kampında bir barınağa ve nihayetinde umuda taşıyan bir bota dönüşüyor.
