I wrote this for my elementary science classes to help to teach the order of the planets (lyrics below).

LYRICS
Well, I know there are 8 planets,
But which comes first and last?
I need a little planet trick,
To help me learn them fast!
My very evil mother,
Just swatted Uncles nose,
You shouldnt hit your brother,
Or bite his two big toes!
My very evil mother,
Just swatted Uncles nose,
And thats the order of the planets,
This is how they go...
Mercury and Venus,
Our Mother Earth then Mars,
Jupiter and Saturn,
Theyre gas giants in the stars!
Uranus and theres Neptune
And now youve said them all,
Well Pluto used to be a planet,
Now its way too small...
Well, I know there are 8 planets,
But which comes first and last?
I need a little planet trick,
To help me learn them fast!
The first letter of each word in the sentence,
My very evil mother,
Just swatted Uncles nose,
Are the same as the first letters of the planets in our solar system-
My very evil mother,
Just swatted Uncles nose,
And thats the order of the planets,
This is how they go!
Mercury and Venus,
Mother Earth and Mars,
Jupiter and Saturn,
Theyre gas giants in the stars!
Uranus and theres Neptune
Now youve said them all,
Well Pluto used to be a planet,
Now its way too small...
My very evil mother,
Just swatted Uncles nose,
And now its red like Rudolphs,
Like Rudolphs when it snows!
My very evil mother,
Just swatted Uncles nose,
And thats the order of the planets,
That is how they go!
