Teaching effective communication skills is largely ignored in society. Although we are taught to read and write, the many other ways we communicate are ignored or glossed over. Use of body language, hands, facial expressions, and tone of voice are all part of effective communication. Learning to pair all the ways we communicate honestly and openly from a young age will help children develop mutual respect toward one another and authority figures. And, ahem, most adults I know could stand to review (or learn) these principles. This charming book written by Joy Wilt and illustrated by Hergie (Ernie Hergenroeder) is from the "Ready-Set-Grow Series". I grew up with these books and was thrilled when I found this one at a thrift store. I couldnt wait to produce this video!
