Ho, Ho Wataney is a beautiful lullaby that comes from the Iroquois Indians of the American Northeast. Its has a simple, soft melody that utilizes the pentatonic scale.

To give the song a bit of extra depth, Ive added a simple ostinato. Its written in such a way that students can play the ostinato on the xylophones- but you can also use bells or boomwackers as well. I personally used the bells with my kindergarten class, and the song became one of their favorites.

Youll also notice that the song is dedicated to baby Valencia Elise- shes my daughter born just a week prior to posting this.
