Welcome to the Toledo Zoos Polar bear den live feed! Here, you can view Polar bear Crystal and her adorable twin cubs. 🐻‍❄️🐻‍❄️

The cubs were born at the Toledo Zoo in November, 2022 to 24-year-old mom, Crystal, and 18-year-old dad, Nuka. The Polar bear Species Survival Program (SSP) issued a breeding recommendation for Crystal in hopes of mating to sustain this endangered species. We welcomed Nuka to the Toledo Zoo in March of 2022 to begin that process.

Crystals eighth and ninth cubs genders are unknown at this time. They are estimated to make their public exhibit debut in the spring of 2023. In the meantime, this live feed of Crystal and the cubs is available daily from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The camera will be off after 4 p.m., but viewers can still hear the bears through the microphone overnight.

The bears are off-exhibit inside their cozy den as it is a quiet, safe place for a mother to give birth and raise cubs. In the wild, this would be in a snow bank or side of a hill. Nuka will remain on exhibit daily at Arctic Encounter.
