After years of conflict followed by open warfare, Great Britains North American colonies became a new, independent nation - the United States of America! This educational video for children discusses events leading up to the war including the Intolerable Acts, the Boston Massacre and the Boston Tea Party, as well as major battles and events during the Revolutionary War.
