For decades astronomers from around the world have traveled to I’oligam Du’ag (Kitt Peak) in Arizona to conduct astronomical research under dark, pristine skies. The observatory is located on land leased from the Tohono O’odham Nation. In this edition of Live From NOIRLab@Arizona, Jacelle Ramon-Sauberan will share her knowledge about the history and culture of her people, the Tohono O’odham. We hope you will join us for this opportunity to learn more about the caretakers of the jewed (land).
